Lib Dem spokesperson for Plymouth Moor View, Stuart Bonar
Stuart Bonar is the Liberal Democrats' prospective parliamentary candidate for the new seat of Plymouth Moor View. This new constituency takes in the city wards of Budshead, Eggbuckland, Ham, Honicknowle, St Budeaux, Southway, and of course Moor View. Stuart is from Plymouth. He attended Manadon Vale Primary School and Devonport High School for Boys. Three generations of his family live in the constituency. Commenting, Stuart said: "Well over half of Labour voters in Plymouth Moor View are unlikely to vote for the party again, according to independent research reported recently in The Times newspaper. We've known for some time that Labour is finished nationally. Now we know they are finished here in Plymouth too." "So, the choice for Plymouth voters is between the Liberal Democrats and the Tories. The Lib Dems would protect the NHS, with local people deciding local priorities - ending control from London. We will keep supporting the economy through the recession, to keep people in their jobs." "We'd recruit thousands of extra police officers, paid for by scrapping ID cards. And we'd cut class sizes in state schools to private school levels." "I've made an openness pledge to be totally transparent in any expenses I might claim, should I be elected to Parliament, and I will be fighting for a better deal for our armed forces too."
