Plymouth LibDems oppose the CityBus sell-off

An overwhelming majority of people oppose the idea of Conservative-run Plymouth City Council selling off CityBus, according to a poll on the local Liberal Democrat website, www.plymouth-libdems.org.uk

In answer to the poll's question, "Do you think Plymouth City Council should sell off CityBus, into private ownership?", over 96 per cent answered no.

Commenting on the poll, Rebecca Trimnell, the Liberal Democrat candidate in the council's Ham by-election, said:

"I oppose the sell-off of CityBus, Plymouth LibDems oppose the sell-off of CityBus, and very clearly the people of Plymouth do too.

"On Thursday 3rd September, the people of the city's Ham ward will be voting for a new councillor to be their voice on the Council. One thing is crystal clear: a vote for the Liberal Democrats will be a vote to oppose the sell-off."
